Sarah Palin, the Gift that Keeps on Giving

What does Sarah Palin want? It's pretty obvious she doesn't want to run for president of the U.S. That would make her accountable to do all those pesky things like engage in debates with other candidates, open up her financial records, and expose her family to hoards of reporters just waiting for them to make (more) embarrassing, public gaffes.

I don't wonder that she's enjoying throwing a monkey wrench into the GOP's works. All she has to do is show up in the general vicinity of Ames, Iowa to detract attention from the declared candidates. What a way to get back a little of her own from the party that dumped her like a melting ice cream cone! It's also a smart marketing move for her. If I had a special needs child who would probably need my support the rest of his life, I'd be trying like heck to improve my personal brand, too. The more press she gets, the higher the fees she can demand on the lecture circuit. To all the Stepfords out there still staggering zombie-like toward Sarah, the real-girl candidate, I say ROCK ON! You and the other token GOP chick, Michelle Bachmann, are supplying enough party fragmentation to guarantee Obama another term. With any luck, it will be enough time to show he can, indeed, clean up the mess he inherited from W.
